British Model 'M' 37mm 1.5 Bore Flare Pistol - no Military Markings

A Webley & Scott Mark IV pattern 37mm flare pistol with 4" barrel. These were primarily designed for use on RAF aircraft during WWII. The barrel is cast then machined on the front and inside, but not the sides, which gives it a rougher look.

• Heavy steel construction with a mixture of machined and cast parts
• Stamped 'Webley & Scott LTD, Birmingham'
• No British Broad Proof Arrow mark or other military markings — likely sold for commercial/civilian use
• No Lanyard ring
• Blued or black stoving finish is worn away and is now a frosty patina
• Double action trigger
• Hammer-block safety
• Brass trigger guard
• Bakelite grips with possible chipping on the edges
• Locking aircraft lugs on barrel for aircraft use
• No hand select available
