This pistol was manufactured in Italy by Vincenzo Bernardelli from 1947 until 1960s. Another name that this pistol is sometimes referred as are Model 1947 (the year of the introduction to the market).
The Vincenzo Bernardelli Gardone Model 60 was introduced in 1961 and was an update of the Bernardelli Pocket Model by improving the frame forgings and manufacturing the pistol with a more streamlined shape. The Bernardelli Model 60 pistol used a twin recoil spring system to soften the recoil movement of the slide.
