Description
The Beretta PM12S is the refined successor to the iconic M12, introduced by Beretta in 1978 with a focus on improved ergonomics and tool-free field stripping. While retaining the M12's proven core design — telescoped bolt, grip safety, integrated forward vertical grip, and side-folding metal buttstock — the PM12S brought a critical operational improvement: replacing the M12's two separate cross-bolt push-button controls with a single 3-position lever selector: S (Sicura/Safe), 1 (Semi-Automatic), and R (Raffica/Full-Auto). This change simplified manual of arms under stress and reduced the risk of selector confusion in the field. The PM12S also received revised sights and reinforced internal components for increased durability.
In the mid-1980s, following a misfire incident involving the Italian Carabinieri, Beretta introduced an additional safety enhancement: a half-cock bolt position combined with a firing pin interceptor. This updated variant became the PM12S2, which remains in production today and continues to serve with Italian and international police and security forces. The PM12S shares all core specifications with the M12: 9x19mm Parabellum, blowback operated, open bolt, selective fire, 200mm barrel, ~550 RPM cyclic rate, accepts 20, 32, or 40-round magazines.
This is a genuine Italian military surplus Beretta PM12S parts kit in Very Good overall condition with a black finish. Kit includes the folding stock, one (1) 40-round magazine, and all original components except the folding stock catch, barrel, and receiver.
