Centerfire's Layaway Installment Program (CLiP)

At Centerfire Systems, we share your passion for firearms and are committed to meeting your needs in the firearms field. To assist our customers, we are pleased to offer the convenience of our layaway program, CLiP! Please review the following terms and conditions carefully. Participation in CLiP signifies your acceptance of this policy and the terms and conditions therein.

  • •  How does CLiP work?

    • •  Just choose Layaway at checkout!

    • •  An invoice will be sent to your email by the next business day with a link to make your payments.

  • •  CLiP Eligibility

    • •  Participation is open to anyone 21+

    • •  While most items are eligible for layaway, not all items are. Any items marked AS-IS or on CLEARANCE will not be eligible for hold on the CLiP program.

    • •  Shipping restrictions and state regulations still apply. See our Shipping Restrictions page for more

    • •  Only ONE CLiP order per person at a time.

      • •  NOTE: You may place a new order once the current has been paid off. There is no limit on how many layaway orders you can have in a lifetime.

  • •  Purchasing Requirements

    • •  Minimum: $200.00

    • •  Maximum: $2800.00

    • •  Confirmation payment (minimum of $50) is required within 5 days of invoice.

    • •  Confirmation payments of $50 are non-refundable

  • •  Payment Requirements

    • •  Pay at your convenience! The only requirements regarding when to pay are the confirmation hold (due by day 5) and the final payment (due by day 90)

  • •  Settling your order

    • •  Once your final payment is made, we will process your order by the next business day.

      • •  Orders are not shipped or verified as settled on weekends.

    • •  FFL items: May be further delayed in Manual Verification if FFL dealer information is not given at the time of confirmation.

      • •  Please make sure you send this information as soon as possible so we can expedite your order!

  • •  Cancellation Fees

    • •  Failure to make the confirmation payment will result in cancellation.

    • •  Cancellations within 30 days incur a cancellation fee of $50

    • •  Cancellations made thereafter, as well as CLiP orders that expire without being settled, incur a $50 fee or 15% restocking fee, whichever is greater.

    • •  Refunds may be added to store credit or a gift card.

  • •  Background Check Denial

    • •  Returns due to denial incur a 15% restocking fee

    • •  Shipping fees are non-refundable

    • •  Any expenses incurred are deducted from the refund amount in addition to restocking fees.

  • •  Ineligible for CLiP

    • •  Dealer/Wholesale pricing

    • •  Ammunition

    • •  Multiple orders

    • •  AS-IS or CLEARANCE items

    • •  Separate shipping and billing addresses are not allowed

    • •  A CLiP order may not be placed in someone else's name

    • •  ALL orders are subject to further verification as deemed necessary by identity protection and anti-fraud measures

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

•  Why did the layaway minimums go up?

Due to a high volume of orders, and in an ongoing effort to provide the best service to our customers, we needed to make some changes. We hope these changes will give you the comfort of knowing you can afford to get the things you want, on your terms, without extra financing or hidden fees.

•  Why can't I place any more orders on layaway?

If you have placed more than 3 orders on layaway without confirming or settling them, then you will be ineligible to put an order on layaway for a period of 6 months. Give our customer service team a call to go over your specific situation.

•  I paid more than $50 to confirm my order. Will I forfeit my entire down payment if I need to cancel?

No! Only $50 is non-refundable, regardless of how much was put down.

•  How do I make payments on my layaway?

You will receive an invoice in your email with a link to make payments. We recommend flagging this email so you can reference back to that link whenever you want to make payments.

•  What happens if I forgot I placed a layaway?

It happens! That's why we send reminders! We send one about half-way through the 90-day term and another around 2 weeks before the expiration date.

•  I have been making payments on my layaway, but I need a few more days to get my final payment in. Is there anything I can do to keep my order?

Of course! Give our customer service team a call and we can approve a one-time extension of up to 10 days. We rely heavily on communication with our customers and are happy to offer solutions wherever we can!

•  When do the layaway changes go into effect?

These changes take effect as of May 1, 2025
