The magazine well is incorporated in the pistol grip. It uses the recoil bolt design. It has an Electroless Nickel finish. Electroless nickel is an autocatalytic chemical reduction process that deposits a nickel-phosphorus alloy in a uniformly hard, highly protective finish. By increasing surface hardness, electroless nickel improves resistance to friction, wear and corrosion.
